Brass Sucker Rod Pump
For the corrosion of downhole sucker rod pumps, after 2 years of research, Shengji developed brass and stainless steel sucker rod pumps using precision rolling technology.
Brass includes a range of copper-zinc alloys, including properties such as
ductility, strength, hardness, color, machinability, wear resistance,
antimicrobial resistance, corrosion resistance, and electrical and thermal
conductivity. UNS C44300 Brass Alloy is a type of brass, also known as Naval
Brass and Arsenic Brass.
Due to its good corrosion resistance, C44300 is mainly used as piping for
steam condensers cooled by fresh water, salt water or brackish water. One of the
uses of naval metal pipes is in heat exchangers in oil refineries where
corrosion is severe, but also in feedwater heaters and heat exchanger equipment
and other industrial processes.
Navy blue brass is very corrosion-resistant, but its hardness and strength
are very low, so traditional machining methods, such as honing, cannot meet the
dimensional accuracy requirements of the pump barrel.
In order to solve this problem, we adopt precision rolling process to ensure
the precision of brass pump barrel. The brass pump barrel is chrome plated to
improve the wear resistance.
