Phenolic board, also known as bakelite board or phenolic laminated paper
board, is a type of synthetic chemical material.
It is primarily composed of phenolic resin and paper. Phenolic board has the
following characteristics:
1) Good mechanical strength: It possesses certain resistance to compression,
bending, and impact.
2) Excellent insulation properties: It is a commonly used insulating material
that effectively blocks electric current.
3) High-temperature resistance: It can maintain stable performance under
certain high-temperature conditions.
4) Corrosion resistance: It has good resistance to certain chemicals.
5) Good machinability: It can be processed by sawing, drilling, milling,
etc., making it easy to manufacture parts of various shapes and sizes.
Phenolic board is often used in electrical equipment as insulating structural
components, such as washers, gaskets, and bases for electrical switches. It is
also used in mechanical mold manufacturing, PCB testing fixtures, and other
fields.
