Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276, W.Nr.2.4819) is a wrought nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy containing tungsten, designed to resist severe corrosion from oxidizing and reducing chemicals simultaneously.
This alloy has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It retains stable mechanical properties under high-temperature harsh conditions and avoids intergranular carbide precipitation during welding, so welded components can be used directly in corrosive service without post-weld heat treatment.
Available forms include wire, strip, sheet, plate, bar, pipe and forging parts. It serves critical industries: chemical engineering, flue gas desulfurization, petroleum & petrochemical, environmental protection, pulp & paper, pharmaceutical and waste treatment.
Common applications: reactors, heat exchangers, scrubbers, pipelines and fittings exposed to chloride, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and mixed acid media.
